Q: App Store Error Under Yosemite

First showed up a week ago while trying to update Xcode, and since prevents all and any purchases or downloads form App Store:

Complete error message reads:

App Store Error: Failed to verify the preflight file. It is not signed by Apple

I have not found any but work arounds for Mavericks that require lowering your security standards, any ideas?

MacBook Pro with Retina display, OS X Yosemite (10.10.3), iPhone 6, iPad Air 128

An update, out of frustration at the absence of any real answers to this issue I tried reducing the strictness of KeyChain requirements for signed certificates as advised elsewhere.

The posts I have read all recommend you set your preference in KeyChain Access for Certificates to Best Attempt for both OCSP and CRL. But at least for downloading a new item that is free only changing the CRL preference to Best Attempt, from Require if Cert..., worked.

But it would be nice to not have to weaken security, particularly on the App Store given the recent research showing Apps can be used to steal information held by other apps via sandbox vulnerabilities. See Ars Technica article here:
