When i connect my ipad to my computer, itunes keeps asking do i want to allow this computer access to information on my ipad.  The message doesn't go away even after I click continue. How do i get past this question to sync my ipad?

Is this a mac or PC? If it's a PC, go into your control panel, add/remove programs. Uninstall iTunes, Apple Mobile Device Service and Apple Application Support. Then redownload and reinstall iTunes and try again.

Hi Skydiver119, I am using a Mac.  So I am quite surprised that this problem is happening.

If using a Mac, what Mac is it and what version of OS X is it running.

Reboot the Mac and reset the iPad. Press and hold both the Home button and the Sleep/Wake button continuously until the Apple logo appears. Then release the button and let the device restart. You will not lose data doing this. It's like a computer reboot. Then try again.

    Hi Ralph9430,

I am using a iMac (27in, late 2013 version) running OS X Yosemite.  The iTunes is 12.1.2.27 version.

When i connect the iPad to the iMac using the cable, there is a beeping sound coming from the iPad, like the connection is not stable and then the dialogue box asking me to trust the computer pops up and disappear, not giving me a chance to touch the trust option.  Your suggestion to reset the iPad worked for a short while, then the beeping sound started again, and I am still not able to sync to iTunes.
