Q: How do I remove duplicate contacts on iPhone and iCloud?

I've recently started using iCloud as backup for contacts, mail and iLife Apps.

Contacts duplicated on all devices; iPhone 6+ iOs8, MacBook Pro Yosemite, and iCloud.com

There were two "All iCloud" on the MacBook. I managed to eliminate one and the duplicates  are gone on the MacBook

How do I get rid of the duplicates on iCloud.com and the iPhone?

I called Apple support per the instructions contained in HT203565: The support person had me turn off mail in iCloud settings the "reset all settings" on the iPhone.  That procedure indeed reset all settings to default, (and of course disconnected the call). It did not affect the duplicates on either the iPhone or iCloud.com.

Where do I go next??

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.7.5), iPhone 6+

Are the duplicates in the same or different Groups? You can check on the iPhone, at icloud.com, or on your Mac.

If the are in the same group, in the Contacts app on the Mac go to the Cards menu and choose "look for duplicates". You may have to repeat this several times.

    Thanks for responding.

The problem seems to have been user error on my part. In the process of changing Apple IDs due to email service changes, it appears that all iCloud/contact references didn't get updated and each was sending a set of contacts to iCloud.com.  Duplicates are gone! (For the moment...)  ;-)
