Turn off the advanced driver mode and the keyboard will fucntion as an ordinary midi-keyboard. You don't really loose any functionality as far as I know. The advanced driver on and off: I can't tell any difference in performance of the keyboard.
Here's how you turn off the advanced mode:

in response to Tigersoul925I got the PCR working with audio and midi on os x 10.11.5 selecting the generic midi and audio drivers - pages 93 - 96 of the manual
pg 95 use the generic driver
pg 96 use the standard driver mode - 44 or 48
