Q: I have a pixel in the upper right of my iPod touch 5 screen that's always a little brighter then everything around it. Do I have a stuck pix?

I noticed today that there is a pixel in the upper right corner of the screen on my iPod touch 5th gen that's always a little brighter then everything around it.

You can hardly see it when everything around it is dark, it's most noticeable when the area around it is white, or a bright color.

Is this a stuck pixel? I've tried running JScreenFix for about 40 minutes, and tried gently pushing on it, to no avail. Its hardly noticeable.

Is this is a stuck pixel, or some dust or something in the screen? Thanks for the help.

I would say a stuck pixel.

Thank you. I whasent sure at first because it's not always the same color, just always a little brighter.

Just one question, this definitely could not be because of some foreign material, like it said in the link?

Very very unlikely since in the 5G and the 4G, the screen assembly is one integrated'sealed unit. Earlier ones had separate outer screen, digitizer and LCD and thus dust count and did get between the outer screen and the LCD.

Fantastic, thanks. If tried pushing on the stuck pixel Gently with the eraser end of a pencil wrapled in a soft cloth, and running one of those videos that is supposed to energize the pixel for about a hour, to no avail. Would you advise running one of those videos all night? I dont notice the pixel much, so it's not too big of a deal. Thanks.

You really have nothing to lose by running the video all night. Just make sure that the video changes the pixels when the problem pixel is.
