Jun 23, 2015 10:06 AM in response to DiClayby Briansyddall,Hi
You should both have your own Apple ID
Since ios7 almost everything can be done over your Wifi
No need to use your PC .
When you charge iphones/ iPads it automatically backs up
To iCloud over your WiFi .
We have 2 iPhones and 3 iPads and we have not use pc
For 2 years for these .
Cheers

Jun 23, 2015 5:10 PM in response to DiClayby ckuan,Sorry you can't. Content bought using one Apple ID cannot be merged or transferred to another Apple ID.
What you can do is use the same purchasing Apple ID only in
Settings > iTunes & App Store > Apple ID: > here to share music, apps and books.
