Q: When transferring a CD (purchased from ITunes) from my old computer to my new Mac, two songs were not transferred.  Computer says "Original file could not be found."

When transferring a CD (purchased from ITunes) from my old computer to my new IMac two songs did not transfer saying "Original file could not be found".  I did not receive a physical copy of the CD, so I can't re-add it.

Apple has never sold music CDs.  Do you mean an album you downloaded from the iTunes Store (not "iTunes" which is the application on the computer)?

Download past purchases from iTunes in the Cloud - https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201272 - "With iTunes in the Cloud, you can access your past purchases from the iTunes Store, App Store, iBooks Store, and Mac App Store." - enabled with iTunes 10.3 and newer; not all media formats are available in all countries (see: iTunes in the Cloud, iTunes Match, and iTunes Radio availability by country - https://support.apple.com/kb/HT204632); apps, books (not audiobooks), music, t.v. shows, and movies (some - not all studios have permitted this).  Downloading previously purchased movies and TV shows requires iTunes 10.6 or later.  Discontinued items not available. For items not included in the iCloud list (e.g., ringtones, audiobooks, alert tones, rental movies), or locations or computer systems where iCloud is not (yet?) available, you only get one download per fee paid.  Apple recommends,  "... back up your iTunes library. " (http://support.apple.com/kb/ht2519). http://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/us/terms.html - "Some iTunes Products, including but not limited to Content rentals, may be downloaded only once and cannot be replaced if lost for any reason. It is your responsibility not to lose, destroy, or damage iTunes Products once downloaded, and you may wish to back them up."

Yes, this is an album downloaded from the iTunes Store.  It was sometime ago and downloaded on my old computer which at that time there was no Cloud.  Would they likely have that on the Cloud now?

There is a good chance though it is never certain which is why I would only ever regard iCloud as a convenience and not a backup.  You may have to delete your broken link first to get the purchase to show as downloadable, otherwise  iTunes will think it is still on your computer.
