Jun 23, 2015 9:29 PM in response to Qldlizby LarryHN,★HelpfulGuessing since you give few details that she is using a shared Photo Stream - if so then right click on each photo and import to Photos then select the photos and export to the desired folder on the EHD

Jun 23, 2015 10:02 PM in response to LarryHNby Qldliz,Thank you Larry HN. It is a shared photo stream and I had worked out the right click and save one photo at a time. I guess I had thought there would surely be an easier (less time consuming ) way as it was so much simply in iPhoto and I could import all the photos in the shared folder at once.

Jun 23, 2015 10:49 PM in response to Qldlizby léonie,★HelpfulYou can select all photos in the Shared Photostream at once and the right-click to import all at once. like this:
Is your daughter aware, that transferring by Shared Photo Stream will reduce the the pixel size?
When I share a photo with a width of 3648 pixels it will arrive aa a photo with only 2048 pixels.
It is important that she is keeping the original versions.

Jun 23, 2015 10:50 PM in response to léonieby Qldliz,Thank you so much Leonie. I have just done them one at a time, but this info will be very handy in the future.. Unfortunately, we were not aware that sharing reduced the quality. She has been overseas for over a year so I am sure she does not have the originals. Disappointing as we went to the Apple store and spoke to them about this before she left and there was no mention of the reduction in quality.

Check the pixel sizes of the photos you saved. You can see it in the Info panel. It will probably be sufficient for most purposes, but just not the original highest quality.

Which photo and video formats and sizes does iCloud Photo Sharing support?
iCloud Photo Sharing supports JPEG, TIFF, PNG, and most RAW photo formats. When shared, photos taken with standard point-and-shoot cameras, SLR cameras, or iOS devices will have up to 2048 pixels on the long edge. Panoramic photos can be up to 5400 pixels wide.
iCloud Photo Sharing supports both MP4 and QuickTime video file types, and H.264 and MPEG-4 Video file formats. Videos can be up to 5 minutes in length and are delivered at up to 720p resolution.
If this does not suffice, she could put new photos into her Dropbox for you to download or send them by Mail at the original size.
