Q: Turning off iCloud Photo Library deletes original pictures

Hello,

I turned on iCloud Photo Library but want to turn it off because I had problems from the start on.

When I turned it on, on my iPhone it directly said it had not enough space to have the originals on my iPhone.

That is weird, because they already were on my iPhone.

When I want to turn iCloud Photo Library off, I get a warning (translation from dutch):

It is not possible to download 124 pictures and video's in it's original size on this iPhone.

The versions with lower resolution of this pictures will be deleted if you continu.

I cleaned up 2,5 GB on my iPhone of Apps to have enough memory for all the pictures and video's to download in original resolution.

I also logged out of iCloud and logged in again, but this all didn't had any effect. It still gives the same warning.

By the way, I don't use the ''optimize storage option'' on my iPhone.

How can I turn off iCloud Photo Library and be sure that all the originals are on my iPhone?

Greetings,

Frank
