Q: Excel allows you to hide a page within a workbook.   How do I hide a page with in a Numbers workbook?

I really like Excel.  Like Numbers, it's emerged as a viable cross-platform solution (though if you've spent any time with it you will know that its mobile version clearly is not as competent as the desktop version).  The "free" competitors that you steer users to are crippled in a cross-platform environment: Numbers isn't.

I am not here to 'lend my expertise" to a mediocre program like Numbers, and as I am as entitled to an opinion as you are I will say so. Perhaps you should examine the mania behind your whitewashing over Numbers limitations.

If you do not have expertise that you are willing to lend here, then what's the point, except to provoke a reaction (i.e. troll)?

Your "do as I please" approach in the Numbers forum (as opposed to other forums) is straining the Community etiquette and the Use Agreement (particularly section 2.2, 2.3, and 2.5). 

To suggest that the previous version of Numbers can hide sheets or to assert that the mobile version of a competitor's app is as competent as its desktop version are examples of the triumph of (shockingly uninformed, given your status in the community) opinion over facts.  If you have something constructive to contribute, and actually test it on your machine, then that would be great.

The results of my testing (posted above) are that it is not possible to hide sheets in Numbers, either the new Numbers or the old Numbers. As Ian (Yellowbox) describes, it is easy to place sheets so that they are "out of the users way."  In general, if secure collaboration is critical, Numbers is not a good choice. It is a good choice for many other things.

FYI, I did not suggest that the previous version of Numbers can hide sheets. And as your own testing shows, neither can the current version. If the ability to hide sheets is important do not use Numbers.

So this (which you posted upthread) meant something else, I guess.

The answer to his question is (simply put) you can't. One solution to his problem is to use another spreadsheet. Even the ones that cost nothing have a better feature set, even the previous version of Numbers had a better feature set.

It's hard to find anything constructively factual in what you've posted here.  Very sad for someone who has contributed so much elsewhere.
