WirelessAFAIK windows doesn't have a keychain.. therefore the check box is meaningless.
And yes, apple removed the ability to setup any older (G wireless) products in the newest utility.. for no good reason other than encourage you to buy new ones.

Jun 24, 2015 8:55 AM in response to LaPastenagueby deborahfromsan francisco,Thanks. But then why isn't it asking me for the Airport password? I knew there was no Keychain in Windows but it looks like it is storing the password somewhere, or else just ignoring it.

Wirelesswhat password are you talking about..
Is this the admin password to configure the Airport? Or is it the wireless password?
Wireless passwords are clearly stored by the OS. If you set the admin password to the same as wireless it may simply connect the two.
I am a bit lost what you are trying to achieve.

Jun 25, 2015 2:25 PM in response to LaPastenagueby deborahfromsan francisco,It's the configuration password. The wireless password is working.
I decided to forget about this. I don't know why it's not working, but I don't think there's any real risk. Thanks.
