Q: Pages: magnifying glass in horizontal mode.

in "pages", when the orientation is horizontal, the magnifying glass appears to the right of the finger as if it were a vertical orientation.

Close the file, then close Pages and double click the home button to bring up the app switcher view. Swipe up on Pages to close it. Re-open the app and the file.

I have same issue and the magnifier remains at right angles when I turn back to portrait mode.

Closing the app or restarting the ipad only solves the issue temporarily. Is this a bug in pages?

I have never had this issue with pages on my iphone running ios7.

I Reinstalled pages and it worked once. Then it reverted to being oriented to the right with the text being shown sideways - incorrectly!

    when will this be fixed?

Hi sorry I missed this. I've spent considerable time with applecare and the last I heard the query was being escalated to apple engineers. But at the moment I'm not aware of a solution. It's really strange.

This is still happening in iOS 9.0.2 and Pages 2.2.5. Works fine initially in portrait, doesn't work in landscape and then doesn't work back in portrait.

The Apple engineers must be on vacation. This is clearly a defect in Pages and it is now October 12, 2015 and the problem still exists.

I can reproduce this problem on iOS 8.x, 9.0, 9.0.2 on iPad 2, iPad Air 2, iPhone 5S All on Pages 2.5.5.

As far as I am concerned, this proves yet again that Apple is worse than Microsoft at fixing bugs.

Hang your heads in shame, Apple.
