Q: iPad is recognized and will sync. iPhone will not

What would cause iTunes to recognize iPad but not iPhone? Problem just started a week ago.
IOS 8.3

iTunes 12.1.2.27

Win 8.1

Apple TV (2nd generation)

If you are having an issue with your iPhone not being recognized in iTunes on your Windows computer, I would suggest that you troubleshoot using the steps in this article -

Thanks for responding. I should have been more clear. I had already tried all of those steps, with no luck.
The good news is that the iTunes and IPhone patches/updates (didn't catch the number) that I downloaded today (01 July) fixed the issue.
Alchemy- I don't pretend to understand how it worked.
