Q: creating apple ID using debit card
I am attempting to setup family sharing, and put my two daughters under 13 under my account. When I go to create their apple ID, it is requiring me to use a credit card, and is not accepting my mastercard debit card I have been using for years to make purchases from Apple. I do not have a credit card, but obviously need to put the safeguards in place for my kids. Any workarounds for this?
Thank you.

You need to have a credit card to set up child accounts due to privacy laws : Family Sharing and Apple IDs for kids - Apple Support
Before you begin, make sure that you're using a credit card as your iTunes Store and App Store payment method. To comply with child online privacy protection laws, you will use the CVV or security code from a valid credit card as part of providing your parental consent. If the card on file is a debit card or another payment method, you’ll be asked to provide a credit card before you can continue. After you create the child's Apple ID, you can change your payment method back to a debit card.
