Jul 1, 2015 6:22 AM in response to bcrozby pappy53,I have the same basic problem. Mail will automatically check and receive email to my .me account but I also have a second work email account through charter. All the settings are correct according to documentation from both Charter and Apple (and, this isn't my first rodeo - I've been a Mac user since 1987). The problem is that the only way Mail will check for new mail in the charter.net account is when I quit Mail and reopen it.

Jul 1, 2015 6:59 AM in response to pappy53by bcroz, yup, my e-mail is through Charter. Funny thing is, it worked fine until a week ago. Now, the only way I know i have mail is when my iPhone dings. Very frustrating.

Jul 1, 2015 7:06 AM in response to bcrozby pappy53,Don't you just love these problems where tech support always blame it on the other company. Apple says it's a Charter problem, Charter says it's an Apple Problem. I'm also having a problem now with an Adobe product I use on a daily basis. Once I updated to 10.10.4, Adobe Bridge stopped launching. Adobe is blaming it on Apple since it was an OSX update. Apple is blaming it on Adobe because Bridge is their software.

Jul 1, 2015 7:24 AM in response to pappy53by bcroz,Funny thing is, this has been happening on my MacBook for quite some time. When I got the new Mac in January everything worked fine until last week. Not quite sure what to make of the problem.

Jul 1, 2015 7:45 AM in response to bcrozby Linc Davis,Please open the iCloud preference pane, sign in to iCloud if you haven't already, and check the box marked Mail. You will now have a second mail account. Test.

Jul 1, 2015 7:53 AM in response to Linc Davisby pappy53,I don't think bcroz is having an iCloud problem. This is a Mail (as in the mail app that is on a desktop computer) problem. You can go into Mail preferences, check the box "check automatically" and it just doesn't check the mail from his charter.net account automatically.
