Jul 1, 2015 6:30 AM in response to Chris CAby MedinaCorp,This was helpful, thank you. But this isn't the challenge. Often I need to open multiple browser windows, the center screen has safari open and I need to open a secondary window, when I go to the screen on the right, right click on safari and select new window it open the browser window on the middle screen, leaving me to drag it over to the open window.
I am assuming your statement doesn't mean that I am able to "lock" the icon on the dock even though it is the same on all three windows, one to each screen?

Jul 1, 2015 7:48 AM in response to Chris CAby MedinaCorp,Chris,
What am I missing here? I closed all my programs and tested your theory with Xcel for Mac. I opened excel from the icon on the middle screen. I closed the program and then went to my right screen and clicked on excel and excel opened up on the middle screen. I closed excel and went to my left screen and opened excel. It opened on the middle screen. I believe MAC opens your app and places it on the last screen you were on. This goes to my original question, if I activate the right screen and presumably the app is closed and then click on the icon from the doc the program should open on that screen. But, that isn't the case.

If the app is set to use the middle display (as I wrote in my first post) , it doesn't matter which display you open it on, it will always open in the middle window...
