Jun 30, 2015 6:10 PM in response to brittanysara12by CalifRy,I'm also having this problem. I can create a playlist and add songs, but then a minute later the playlist disappears. Or the playlist lingers around, but the songs I added are all gone. It's frustrating, because I can't save/play any playlists. I tried turning "show music available offline" on and off. I also turned off and back on "iCloud Music Library" in settings. I spent an hour or two trying different things, but nothing's worked so far, unfortunately.

Jun 30, 2015 7:06 PM in response to CalifRyby CalifRy,I'm not sure if this is the reason for the problem, but I've been getting the following error occasionally: "iCloud Music Library can't be enabled. You can enable it later from Music in Settings. Until then your music won't be available on your devices." When I enable it, it turns on, then a few minutes later the error pops up again.
I also have a different login for iTunes/App Store and iCloud, since there's no way to update/merge iTunes/App Store user ID. Maybe that's the source of the problem.

Jun 30, 2015 7:38 PM in response to Photogmattby viceayala,When you go to "my music" you will see on the middle of the screen where it says "Artists" click on that, then You will see a slider option for "available music offline." Turn it off, and turn it back on

Jul 1, 2015 2:47 AM in response to viceayalaby Photogmatt,Interestingly I decided to just try leaving it off. When I did that, the playlist retained the song. I don't know what Apple did with this, but I hope they fix it because it's confusing as ****.

Jul 1, 2015 5:52 AM in response to Pob917by shunted,Thanks for the tip. It's quite odd that such an important setting is buried in a non-obvious place. Also the default setting on the phone is the wrong one for a streaming service.

Jul 1, 2015 6:30 AM in response to brittanysara12by Onumis1984,Make sure to turn on home sharing if your playlists are coming up greyed out. I have multiple macs and been trying to figure out why my new playlists were showing up greyed out. Turning on home sharing fixed the issue.

Jul 1, 2015 8:57 AM in response to brittanysara12by CalifRy,I seem to have found some luck with this today, after doing the following steps. Basically, I turned Apple Music off and on again. Now I can save and play playlists for the first time. I'm sharing this in case it helps anyone else.
1. Turn off "Show Music Available Offline." When you go to "my music" you should see in the middle of the screen where it says "All Playlists" or "Apple Music Playlists." Touch that, then you should see a slider option.
2. In settings, under Music, turn off iCloud Music Library and then turn off Show Apple Music
3. Restart your device (turn off for a few minutes, then back on)
4. In settings, under Music, turn on Show Apple Music and turn on iCloud Music Library
For me, this seemed to resolve the issue, at least so far.

Jul 1, 2015 12:18 PM in response to CalifRyby RANGESTORMER,Hey everyone - I've found the solution!!
I asked this question in another thread here: APPLE MUSIC: NO "Make available offline" button/Cant save to Playlist
Basically, I think Apple made a mistake with the on/off button for "Show music available offline" (the setting you see when you click "Songs" or "Albums" or whatever the view setting is set to in the middle of the screen on "My Music".
The setting is called "Show music available offline" with the sub text "Only show music stored on this phone" - these two things conflict with each other lol - basically, just turn this OFF (my logic would have told me to turn it ON but whatever!). Fixed! -

Jul 2, 2015 12:53 AM in response to ewsoperby etburnes,You'd think so. But if the download process hits one of the many possible hiccups, it just gives up on the whole thing. Looks like Spotify won't lose this customer after all, as bad as they are.

4. In settings, under Music, turn on Show Apple Music and turn on iCloud Music Library

Jul 6, 2015 2:33 PM in response to Oangaby Henrypartridge,TThanks that worked. However, it's disappointing that Apple, Kings of intuitive, seem to have come up with an inferior imitation of Spotify.
