Q: my g5 wont start up blank screen and two led beeps ?

please help me , i just got this computer and when i press the power button i hear the fans and the computer running but i see a black screen and 2 led beeps on computer and power button on screen .. please help

Are you sure this is a G5? They were discontinued years ago. Also include the OS it is supposed to be running. Please be precise - I have not heard of a boot problem showing the power button on the screen on newer OS versions.

to be honest this is actually my first apple lol , my boss gave it to me today , i honestly dont have any idea what os it has. i can take a picture of it if u like and send it to ur phone or something
when i hit the power button it the led just blinks 2 times on the power button the the apple screen and power button of pc... i looked up g5 pictures and it looks just like it really heavy computer all metal to handles on top to carry it .... btw ty for replying

you can also plug the serial number from the barcode sticker in here > https://selfsolve.apple.com/agreementWarrantyDynamic.do and it will tell you the name and give you a picture

also ask your boss for the OS X System Install disks that came with the computer - you will likely need them before too long.

i dont believe he has any of that they used these for photoshop i believe ... i will ask him for the cd's .. thank for you for all the feedback guys

while you are asking about the system disks, ask him when the last time he saw it run. Was he under the impression that it was good to go? That computer was a state of the art Photoshop beast in its day.
