Q: How do I drag the hard drive into the list in spotlight privacy settings?

I keep reading this as my new MBA has multiple issues, not the least of which are failing to allow me to reply to topics in support forums , not syncing pdfs in ibooks and changing the name of my iPhone! But spotlight doesn't work at all, if I click it nothing more happens than a pane appears telling me how wonderful spotlight is and I can learn more about it it...
