I'm sorry to hear you are having these issues with your iPhone and your MacBook Air. If you appear to have a good hotspot connection between your iPhone and your Mac but are getting an error about no internet connection, you may want to check to see if the Mac may be trying to use a different network connection/interface, as outlined in the following article (make sure your WiFi connection is at the top of the list):

If you continue to have issues with your hotspot connection, you may also find the troubleshooting steps outlined in this article helpful:

Back form vacation now, and time to struggle with this problem again:)
I´ve bought a new iPhone 6 since my posting, and the problem i still there. So it´s most likely my Mac who is failing. When my mac is connect to the phone I can surf the web from my phone, at the same time, but my mac /safari is just loading...loading...loading. I tried pinging from command line to different webpages, and there is no connection to the web.
Any other thoughts?
