Jul 2, 2015 1:39 PM in response to marcfromtimoniumby Grytr,@marcfromtimonium: Ensure iTunes-->Preferences...-->General-->iCloud Music Library is ticked as it seems to be disabled if you sign out of iTunes as part of the troubleshooting.

Jul 2, 2015 3:34 PM in response to Grytrby Carey Head,Yeah, I've tried logging out of ITunes, closing the app, restarting, logging back in, closing the app for an hour, opening, logging back in and ticking this box every time and still get the same error. Even tried restarting the Mac Mini a few times so this must be some weird server side issue? I hope the iTunes/Music app folks are paying attention as it's pretty annoying to not be able to add music to playlists (or even see the same playlists) on the Mac app yet everything works fine on iOS devices.

Jul 2, 2015 3:52 PM in response to davidetonyby Discotheque46,the problem seems to have resolved itself. must have been a server issue. took 8 hours to be available again.

Jul 2, 2015 4:12 PM in response to Discotheque46by Carey Head,Not for me. Did you do anything different? Tick the box in preferences? Log out, etc?

Jul 2, 2015 5:52 PM in response to Carey Headby MajorIP4,Worked for most of the afternoon. Now iTunes will not connect to the music library. When I click the cloud-with-bolt it sometimes changes to cloud-with-lines but never connects. *** apple

Jul 2, 2015 5:59 PM in response to MajorIP4by Carey Head,Dumb question. For those of you that have gotten this to work, does anyone know if you need to have iCloud Drive enabled in your Mac OS system prefs for the iCloud Music Library option in iTunes to work? Just realized that that is not enabled but not sure if it makes a difference. Thanks.

Don't need it here. Worked before without any such setting

Jul 2, 2015 6:04 PM in response to MajorIP4by Carey Head,****. Was hoping that was it. So annoying that this works almost flawlessly on iOS but is pretty crippled as a whole on Mac OS. I have all kinds of music and playlists saved on both iOS devices that do not show up on iTunes on the Mac as it can't sync the **** library.

Jul 2, 2015 6:35 PM in response to davidetonyby HEREWEGOJO,Getting the same problem as well, it was workingmen just about an hour ago and then all of a sudden every got greyed out. I can access my music from any IOS device, but not from my iMac or my Pros. Probably a server issue. I tried signing out and in and reauthorizing and authorizing and all that stuff many times.

Jul 2, 2015 7:22 PM in response to HEREWEGOJOby MajorIP4,I chatted w/Support and they keep saying the servers are OK. They wanted me to do a test user but I said no as someone here already tried that. I sure hope this gets resolved. If not I will not renew after 3-months. Just not reliable.

Jul 2, 2015 7:55 PM in response to MajorIP4by Beef_Jerky2000,I hate when companies dismiss what is clearly a problem. By this thread, it is clear to see that this is a problem on their end and not all of ours.

Jul 2, 2015 9:58 PM in response to davidetonyby danebezcapetown,I don't get the "Unable to access your iCloud Music Library" error any more (for 12 hours), and I can add music to my library. However, iTunes does not upload my own existing music to the cloud so that it is available to all devices, as it should as per https://support.apple.com/en-za/HT204925.

Jul 2, 2015 11:25 PM in response to davidetonyby JL32BiT,I also have had this issue for about 12 hours. I am hoping it will resolve itself, as I have tried logging out/logging in, restarting, etc. with no luck. I hope that Apple is aware of this issue and fixes it soon. An issue this early in the release makes me seriously question Apple Music as an alternative to other similar services.

Jul 3, 2015 3:59 AM in response to danebezcapetownby MajorIP4,Just checked this morning and its back up. I did nothing. Before I went to bed I tried to connect on my Windows iTunes 12.2 and it failed in the same fashion. This is definitely an Apple issue. Lets hope it's over for good.
