I think that there is a chance that apple may replace or fix your macbook pro. It seems that there was a defect with a specific brand (LG) of display panel that has been found to be defective in these retina macbook pro models. Your luck may vary with the replacement/repair. Be patient and kind to the apple geniuses and you might just get that repaired.
