Jul 4, 2015 5:00 AM in response to lllaassby Raoul,Did this already - no luck. MacMini freezes USB after a while in sleep modus...

Jul 4, 2015 5:08 AM in response to Raoulby Raoul,... so I am not alone - can reproduce the freeze like that:
- put MacMini to sleep - now the status led goes and comes as ever
- wait about an hour or so and suddenly the led goes to on (like the mac mini is running) but the screen remains black
- no reaction of keyboard and mouse (usb is frozen, screen is black) and mac mini is on...
- a short press on the power button of the mac mini gets the screen on ... but all is frozen, no keyboard, no mouse and the system searches for a bluetooth device...
PLEASE APPLE SAY WHAT YOU DO - IF YOU MAKE A FIRMWARE UPDATE DECLARE THIS....
So I had previous to the 10.10.4 Update a good working mac mini - and now it freezes on going to sleep and the worse is that I can't revert this????
btw where can I tell this to apple....?
thanks
Raoul

Jul 4, 2015 8:46 AM in response to Raoulby rokko102,Hi.
Same problem here. Mac Mini 2012. OS X 10.10.4
No USB after Sleep.

Jul 4, 2015 8:52 AM in response to rokko102by Raoul,Well it seems that apple coupled the 10.10.4 update with a firmware update (would be nice they had declared it so...) for the mac mini.
I can identify now severals draw backs:
- no usb after deep sleep
- I can't choose anymore an other system on booting (alt-key) - if I choose my 10.10.3 backup disk it won't boot it...
A work around for the usb/sleep thing for me is to not wake up the mac mini via keyboard - don't touch it as I seems to freeze it... just press the power button once and it will awake non frozen...

Jul 7, 2015 7:13 AM in response to steroby Raoul,All out there with the same error - please make a bug report to Apple, so we have fixed this issue...
The only workaround for me is to set the deep sleep to 24h.... as mentioned in another post:
sudo pmset -a standbydelay 86400
