Q: lost ability to scroll with 3 or 2 fingers on OSX Yosemite 10.10.3

I have iMac with OSX Yosemite 10.10.3.  Since upgrading to 10.10.3 I can no longer use the three finger or two finger scroll on my trackpad.  I need a fix for this ASAP as I do not have a mouse and don't want one!

    Try the following:

    1. Restart your Mac. Check scrolling behaviour.

    2. Navigate to  > System Preferences > Accessibility > Mouse & Trackpad > Trackpad Options. Make sure the Scrolling checkbox is selected. Check scrolling behaviour.

    3. Navigate to  > System Preferences > Trackpad. Deselect and reselect checkboxes for all the options used. Check scrolling behaviour.

    4. Navigate to  > System Preferences > Bluetooth. Turn Bluetooth on if it is off. Move your cursor over the listed trackpad item and click the "X" button that appears. Click "Remove" from the dialog sheet that slides down. Restart Your Mac. Pair your trackpad with your Mac. Info: OS X Yosemite: Pair an Apple wireless keyboard, mouse, or trackpad with your Mac & Bluetooth: How to set up your Apple Wireless Mouse or Magic Trackpad - Apple Support. Check scrolling behaviour.

In the event your trackpad is unavailable:

You can always click and drag a window's scroll bars to scroll. Hold down the Option key while scrolling for precise scrolling. You can have the scroll bars always show by selecting that option from  > System Preferences > General. > Show scroll bars. You can also use the keyboard to scroll (not all applications):

Up Arrow key  --  Scroll up.

Down Arrow key  --  Scroll down.

Left Arrow key  --  Scroll left.

Right Arrow key  --  Scroll right.

Fn–Up Arrow keys  --  Scrolls up one page.

Fn–Down Arrow keys  --  Scrolls down one page. The Spacebar performs the same function.

Fn–Left Arrow keys  --  Scrolls to the beginning of a page.

Fn–Right Arrow keys --  Scrolls to the end of a page.

WOW.....IT WORKED!!  I followed all the directions and ended up removing the trackpad and pairing it again with my iMac.  THANK YOU SO MUCH!  I was getting so frustrated with not being able to use all the finger movements as I previously did.  THANK YOU...THANK YOU...THANK YOU !
