Jul 5, 2015 2:34 PM in response to leroyisaacby dmgreen,I have two Plantronics stereo headphones (FIT and GO2). Both will pair successfully with an Apple Watch (Watch OS 1.0.1), but drop the connection repeatedly after listening to music from the watch for about 1 minute 40 seconds. This occurred even though I was on the floor doing leg lifts with the watch hand on the back of my head maybe 8" from the right earpiece (of the FIT) and closer to the left earpiece. Both headphones work fine with my iPhone 5s (IOS 8.4) and Mac-mini (OS 10.10.4).

Jul 7, 2015 10:39 PM in response to leroyisaacby Maestro1827,I have the same problem with Powerbeats wireless and apple watch. Connection is very bad, and spotty between the powerboats and watch.

Jul 8, 2015 7:37 AM in response to leroyisaacby Kenneth Jones3,Guys, I have to tell you. I don't think it's the Apple Product. I'm working over in Baghdad, Iraq and my Powerbeats were working just fine then one day they inadvertently disconnected then reconnect then disconnected and so forth. It's the Powerbeats. If I try to place the left earpiece in or adjust it in any way it disconnects then a few seconds later it reconnects. I've done everything, update it, reset it, etc, etc. Merely touch the body disconnects it. I'm wondering if the bluetooth antenna inside this contraption broke free and mere touch around the area of the device/or movement causes the disconnection. I'm taking it back to Bestbuy when I get back home as I have the extended service plan. Please let me know if any of you can duplicate this flaw. Thanks.

Jul 8, 2015 8:29 PM in response to Kenneth Jones3by jphughes3,It is not just the powerbeats though-I also have a pair of plantronic backbeat fits that have the same exact issue-drop outs when running outside if I wear on left arm.
Inside not as bad. It is almost as if BLE works better when it is bouncing off walls.

Jul 9, 2015 4:13 AM in response to jphughes3by mtbRiderNC,My plantronics will drop inside or ou and regardless of which arm it is. Time between dropouts is sporadic. I had one occasion when it didn't drop connection for an extended amount of time. ir has to interference from the watch. It doesn't lose connection when the watch is not connected.

Jul 12, 2015 9:48 AM in response to leroyisaacby qwertyui123,Same issue with both Powerbeats & BTS 66. Plus, I had the watch changed out Going to return both headsets & give up for now. Apple has a problem but they won't acknowledge it. Terribly disappointed because this was one of the main reasons I bought the watch.

Jul 12, 2015 9:58 AM in response to mtbRiderNCby dmgreen,My situation has mostly been that the iPhone is on (usually charging) and the Watch is either out of range of Bluetooth from the iPhone or on the edge of range. Of course the headset is paired with both the iPhone and the Watch (with the Watch the most recent and the connection in use). By turning off Bluetooth on the iPhone, the dropouts seem to stop ... For what it's worth ...

Jul 13, 2015 11:04 AM in response to leroyisaacby robotinthecape,Same problem with JBL Reflect BT — on left hand loses connection all the time (during run), almost impossible to use. Wearing Watch on right hand solves problem for 95% of the time, just rare disconnections stay. Temporary fix but it's very uncomfortable for me to wear Watch on the right hand. Hope it can be fixed by updating software. WatchOS2 beta3, btw. Headphones work great with iPhone.

Jul 20, 2015 1:43 PM in response to leroyisaacby Jh8man,I have the exact same issue with the plantronics--cuts and out and drops signal sporadically when running and weight lifting. Very frustrating. I will try the right wrist.
I hope there is a way to fix this.

Jul 23, 2015 4:57 AM in response to jphughes3by red223444,Hey guys, I also think it may be the watch as I'm having the same problem, but not with the beats headphones. I had a different run of the mill set that were $40 and they actually worked totally fine when I ran with the watch on my left wrist outside on the road. I noticed that whenever I was in a public place, such as the gym, that they started to drop constantly. The headphones I had were always in pairing mode... ie there was no button or setting to click to get it to pair... it just did when the watch or phone found it. I'm wondering if the fact that there are other people with phones and bluetooth headphones at the gym is what was causing the issue. Like I said, I wasn't having the same amount of trouble as reported here when running with it as long as I was somewhere isolated.
I was hoping a better brand/quality of bluetooth headphone might fix the problem if it has a pairing mode with a code or something... anyone have headphones with a specific pairing mode having the same issue?

Jul 30, 2015 12:34 PM in response to leroyisaacby kmarchand,Same issue. Watch OS 1.0.1. Mpow Petrel Bluetooth 4.0 headphones work totally fine with iPhone but cuts out when jogging on an outdoor track as my arm swings. iPhone left at home. Only happens when the watch is on the left wrist... I ran with the watch on the right wrist this morning and it was totally fine. Shutting off bluetooth on the iPhone before leaving home, hoping that they disconnect cleanly, didn't help. Tried rebooting watch, etc, no difference.

Jul 30, 2015 12:31 PM in response to leroyisaacby red223444,Just an fyi... I posted on this thread a little while back. I bought a different pair of blue tooth headphones... jabra coach is the name. Over the past week+ they have only dropped 2 times and I've been using it at the same gym where my previous set couldn't go more than a minute without unpairing. So, these seem to be holding much better. They were a bit more expensive than the first pair, but still less than beats. Not sure if it is slightly different technology but they have worked great so far. Just thought I'd pass that along in case anyone was looking for a different pair that has had better results.

Jul 30, 2015 7:45 PM in response to red223444by robotinthecape,Jabra Coach has Bluetooth 4.0 instead of 3.0 on my JBL, may be that's the deal?

Aug 4, 2015 12:34 AM in response to leroyisaacby CaspianIV,Same problem here. Happened with a cheap pair of QY7 earbuds. Got a pair of JLab Epic earbuds and after about 45 minutes at the gym they started dropping out as well. Got the occasional out of range message, but not as often as with the QY7s.
It's the same lady's voice. I wonder if these earbuds are all using the same bluetooth hw/sw.
Tried on the right arm and it was still dropping.
Wondering if moisture (sweat) has an effect on the reception, or possibly the amount of charge in the battery. It could also be the amount of radio interference in the gym from all the wireless gadgets.
Pretty disappointing since the watch was going to replace my iPod in the gym. I'll probably contact Apple and see what they have to say. I guess we're all beta testing at this point.
