Q: How do I add family members to Apple Music via Windows/iTunes/iCloud?

Subject says it all...can't find any answers after a couple hour search.

I have a Windows 8.1 PC, iTunes 12.2.x, and an iCould account.  I signed up for the Apple Music family plan, but now can't figure out how to invite any family members.

Thanks...

I found the answer after talking to Apple customer support (who invoked "2nd tier /senior" help to get the answer).

    It's impossible.

There is no way to invite family members to an Apple Music family share plan using a Windows PC and iTunes and iCloud.

Sure wish they would say as much right next to the "sign up" button.  Maybe in "the fall" when Apple Music goes live for Android, or maybe with some update to iTunes / iCloud, but for now, you cannot be the creator of the family share plan and invite anyone to join, with a Windows PC.

Seems a bit of an oversight! Thanks for the info - I'd been trying to figure this out for the last couple of hours. Guess I will not be renewing my family membership after the trial.

    Thanks for sharing Bill.

Unreal, I Guess I will stick with Spotify. I can't even get Family Sharing to work on their own OS 10.9.5 and I can't upgrade the os at this time due to compatibility issues. See ya Apple...

    Deep joy !!!!!!

I have windows 10 and just signed up to Apple Music so family can stream their own music using Sonos soundsystem ... more than a little disappointed that iCloud is a joke on Windows .. it's just an utterly blunt interface - I clicked on settings thinking, yes, it's sure to be here and what did I find - chuff all

Obviously the cheap solution is for me to go and buy an iPad Pro and setup my iTunes on there .. and it will work like a dream !! :-/

Getting set up is simple. You can use Family Sharing on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch with iOS 8 or later, your Mac with OS X Yosemite or later and iTunes 12, or your PC with iCloud for Windows. On your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, go to Settings > iCloud, tap Set Up Family Sharing, then follow the onscreen steps.Jul 14, 2016

It says right here you can do it,  I guess they lied to us to sign up.
