Q: Pre ordered an album that was due to release today... Instead saw the standard 'complete my album' with the tracks that came with the pre order. What's that about?

So here's where I am confused. I pre-ordered the album 'Coma Ecliptic', and it came with three tracks: "Memory Palace", "Famine Wolf" and "The Coma Machine".

Instead of having the entire album downloaded, as I would imagine takes place with a pre order, I still have the remaining three tracks. However, unlike most of the pre order issued that have happened in the past, this time instead it shows the standard 'complete my album' stuff with the three tracks. Yet I pre ordered the album.

Could someone explain to me [or try to] as to why that is, and if Apple's pre ordering policy/policies have changed?

Thank you in advance.

You've received the email saying that the album is available, and you've paid the remaining price for the album ? If you have now paid for it then you should be able to download the remaining tracks, either via the Account (Store on older iTunes) > Check For Available Downloads menu option on your computer's iTunes, or via the Purchased link under Quick Links on the right-hand side of the iTunes store homepage. If you haven't yet paid for it then it won't show as Purchased in the store.

Oh... I got the e-mail, but I had no idea that I had to pay for the rest of the album again...

You aren't paying of it again, you are only charged for pre-orders when they become available - so you will have been charged for the 3 tracks when they became available, and you should now be charged for the remaining amount (album price minus the prices of the three tracks).
