Jul 2, 2015 7:38 AM in response to julianafreitagby want_smoore,The same issue is happening with my iPhone 5.. After updating, I seemed to lose some songs (not all but some, that were not purchased through iTunes), and after re-syncing, it did not re-add them.. Today, attempting round-two, it still did not re-add the songs.. and now I have this message:
So, I will try the restore, and then try to re-add my music.. I hope it works. I need my entire music library! I'm going on an 8 hour road-trip tomorrow! Not cool, Apple!
I will let you guys know how this works out for me.

Jul 3, 2015 11:27 AM in response to julianafreitagby c.gold,★HelpfulI was having the same problem, what you have to do is go into setting on your iPhone click music then turn off iCloud Music Library then on your computer go to the iPhone music then hit the check box with sync music then hit apply, it will ask your to remove all content hit yes then it will resync everything it only took a minute to do so. It should work for you it did with mine!

Jul 3, 2015 7:51 PM in response to julianafreitagby WarriorKhaleesi,★HelpfulI'm having the same problem. After updating to iOS 8.4, my iPhone won't finish syncing. I get to Step 5 of syncing "waiting for changes to be applied" which then takes forever and the completion bar for this step loads almost the entire way before stopping then getting stuck there. Each time I get to this part it eventually times out without completing the sync. I had this problem before a month back after updating other apps but was able to solve it by emptying my trash can of the older versions of the apps I just updated, but in this case there is absolutely nothing in my trash can. I cannot figure out why my iPhone won't sync!!!

Jul 4, 2015 8:25 AM in response to c.goldby Clipitar,It worked! Thanks a lot c.gold!
I did all like you said, except that it didn't take one minute. In fact, it was a lot longer than that. I have roughly 8000 songs on my iPod Touch and to sync them back on it took close to two hours. But it's all fine.
I also had to sync my iPod twice. The first time, after all syncing activity seemed over on iTunes, I unplugged my device but then I noticed that the circular arrows (top left on the screen of my iPod) were still "going 'round". So I figured something went wrong. As a matter of fact, some songs were still randomly missing on my iPod. So I forced it to stop "syncing" by switching it down (holding the top button for a few seconds) and I plugged it back on my computer. Then I resynced it and this time, I waited until the arrows were done spinning on the iPod screen (it happened long after iTunes itself was "done" syncing). And now it's all fine.
I wonder if I'll have to go through all this ordeal everytime I want to add new music on my iPod, but at least, it's a way out of this problem. I'll post here in the next few days to tell you how my next syncing goes.

Jul 11, 2015 6:47 AM in response to c.goldby nesotericsmile,I tried to follow these steps on my iPod Touch 5, but it hasn't worked for me there's no option to turn off iCloud Music Library in my Music settings on my iTouch, but I have it set so that "Show Apple Music" is disabled-- I also disabled "Show Apple Music" on my Macbook Pro (Yosemite 10.10.4). Even when I unchecked, then re-checked "Sync Music" it didn't do anything. Anyone have any other suggestions, or is there some step I missed?

Jul 11, 2015 8:10 AM in response to nesotericsmileby nesotericsmile,EDIT: I tried these steps again, and kept getting an error message saying that I needed another 42 GB of space in order to download all my music back to my iTouch- which told me it didn't delete all the way. I had to delete all my music on my iPod by going to Settings > General > Usage > Manage Storage > Music > "Edit" (in the top right), then hitting the red minus circle next to "All Songs", THEN plug it in again, and re-sync my iPod. The whole process took about an hour for my 7,100 song library: but it worked!

Jul 12, 2015 5:37 PM in response to nesotericsmileby danielavega, hey! how did you get to work it on the iPod?
It doesn't have this option of turning off "iCloud Music Library".. I've already turned off "Show Apple Music" on the iPod and my iTunes is 12.1 so it doesn't have Apple Music in it, but it still doesn't sync, gets stuck on step 6 which is "preparing to copy items"..
someone please help
