Q: iPad not connecting to wifi

My iPad Mini (model A1432) will show that it's connected to my wifi network at home with full bars from the Settings Menu, but does not actually have a connection. I've tried several apps with no results (Safari, App Store, Pandora,...).

I've tried all 6 steps from If your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch won’t connect to a Wi-Fi network - Apple Support, still nothing. Also, my MBP connects fine to the same wifi network and without issues. Any/all help appreciated!

iPad Mini, iOS 8.1.2

    Hi

Turn your router off for 30Seconds

Then Reset network settings on iPad .

After reset enter your router wireless key .

Later go to website for make of router check for

    Any Firmware updates.

Also if you have had your router for a long time

Ask your Service provider for a replacement .

When i had a problem i bought a top range NETGEAR  router

From Ebay now i never have a problem even at the end of

    A 30 foot  garden .

    Cheers

    Restart your router

If you are still unable to establish a connection it is time to restart your internet router. It is quite possible that the router is failing to transmit a connection over the 2.4Ghz or 5Ghz frequency block. After restarting your router allow it to sit for 1 – 2 minutes before attempting to establish a connection again, this will allow it enough time to restart the WiFi service.

Now I've tried everything from the two links we have and still nothing. My iPad is updated to 8.4 and I also tried restarting my router (waiting a full 5 minutes before repowering) with no success. So anyone know why is this only affecting my iPad mini but not my MBP?

I called Comcast. They performed a little magic over the phone. My iPad is no longer FU. I still don't know why it only affected my iPad but not my other devices, but problem fixed!
