Q: Logic Pro X / Yosemite Issues

Greetings Earthlings,

I'm running Logic Pro X on my Mid-2012 Retina 2.6 GHz/16 GB Macbook Pro and have Yosemite installed (10.10.3, I haven't updated to 10.10.4 but there seems to be no Logic support for the new release anyway). I've been experiencing this issue for a little while after installing Yosemite, not sure on exact times. I run a few different systems connected to Logic - Fractal Audio Axe FX II (audio interface) and a KORG Triton Taktile-49 (MIDI keyboard) along with several KORG synthesizer plugins (not always used) and Cytomic's The Drop filter plugin (not always used).

Logic Pro X will not quit (using Command+Q or Force Quit via Dock) and pretty much every selection in each drop down category is grayed out, including Quit, Open, Open Recent, New, etc. This not only prevents me from opening files but also holds up my computer from Restart/Shut Down as I receive the error message "Please quit Logic and try again" or whatever it says.

It remains open and running - that is, the little dot appears under the Logic icon on my Dock and clicking the icon reveals the Logic Pro toolbar at the top of my Macbook. I cannot check for software updates via the program (online location?) so I'm not sure if this has been resolved already.

Any thoughts? Would appreciate the help.
