Q: Disable auto-lock while watching movie

I can't find an updated answer anywhere, can anyone help me please?

After updating my software to iOS 8.4, I observed that whenever I'm watching some movie, my phone locks automatically as per my auto-lock setting. It wasn't like this before... I don't even want to put NEVER in my auto-lock setting for it gives good security whenever I forgot to lock it.

Can anyone help me with this one please????

iCloud: Restore or set up your iOS device from iCloud

Use iTunes to restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod to factory settings - Apple Support

What app are you using to watch the movie? If it's non-Apple, the developer may need to update it.

Btw, also in Skype... It really annoys me now... I'm watching it in YouTube, sometimes just my own video i made. The issue here is how can I avoid it not to lock on its own whenever I'm using it more than 3 minutes without touching the screen? Battery save-up thing perhaps? But iPhone doesn't even have one right?

My iPhone does not lock when watching Youtube after 1 minute not even when not using fullscreen.

When having issues after updating, do a clean install. That solves most issues after updating.

I Guess you had disabled background app refresh Button. Turn it on to prevent iPhone from stopping while it's playing videos.

This solved it for me! No reset necessary. It drove me crazy, I didn't make the connection between 'background refresh' and the screen locking. Thanks!
