Q: How do I hide white space in xCode 6.4

Hi,

I imported  java source ode into xCode that was originally written using NetBeans.  The problem is that every space is displayed with a character that resembles \_/, sort of a tiny "u" character. How do I turn off displaying of the white space I googled for an answer but all I found were answers to earlier versions of xCode and the answers did not work (menu items no longer in xCode).  Can someone please enlighten me on how to turn off the display of white space in xCode 6.4.  Petty please!!

Thanks,

Rob Tanner

    Hello Rob,

You can check preferences, but I don't know of any way to show whitespace like that in Xcode. Are you sure they are really spaces? Try to delete one and replace it with a space.

In Xcode choose Editor > Hide Invisibles.

I did as you suggested and yes, they really are spaces.

    Thanks,

    Mark,

I must have looked at that menu option a hundred times. Thanks for making it a hundred and one.  It fixed now.

    Thanks,

    Rob

PS, the helpful and solved flags are reversed.  Do you know how to change them?

    Rob,

I've never asked a question on these forums so I'm not sure how to change the flags. I have asked and accepted answers on Apple's new paid developer forums, and on those forums when I'm signed in, the answer that is marked as correct has a box with a link that says Unmark as Correct. I don't know if these forums have a similar box.

    Hello again caspersgrin,

Xcode is a bit of a mess, user interface wise, eh? I don't think I've ever used the "Editor" menu for anything. Code Coverage would be nice, but that requires Server and bots.

They can't be changed. But you can award multiple "helpful" tokens, so please click "This helped me" under Mark's last reply to give him the credit he deserved.

Thank you so much - this is the correct way to hide them in Xcode 7.3.1
