Q: Since update, my Mac Mini reboots randomly several times a day. Is there a fix for this?

Getting random reboots regularly throughout the day since I installed the latest Yosemite update, while in the middle of working. Not using anything I haven't already been using in the past, like Chrome, Evernote, etc., and all apps are updated.

    Open Console and show the log list if it is not showing.

    Click the Disclosure triangle next to System Diagnostic Reports to show the item in that category.

    Look for a report that starts with Kernel and ends with .panic.

    If there are some, select the most recent.

    Select all of the text except the Anonymous UUID line.

    Paste the report into a reply here.

     

    While you are not using any new software, you are using a new OS (10.10.4). Some of the things that worked in the past may be incompatible with 10.10.4

    Do you happen to be writing to an NTFS volume when it happens. That panic might be caused by Tuxera.

    Tuxera is enabled, but it's not happening when I'm writing to an NTFS disk. I only do that on occasion, and I wasn't today (it happened again this morning).

    Try updating/uninstalling and see if that helps.

     

    Try uninstalling using the Developer's uninstall instructions.

    I've never seen "Invalid queue element linkage" before, and I can't find anything on the web that might hint at it.

     

    Uninstall Tuxera, and if you have upgraded your RAM, replace the original chips if you have them and test.

    But, if it doesn't happen that often, it might be too difficult to run that way.
