Well if it took 24 hours for 1.2 gb it will take total of 16 days for 16 gb - if you are lucky 15 days baring connection drops.
Broadband speeds are for downloads - uploads are like salmon going upstream - slow.
Verizon at home fios available in some areas for home use does have same speed both ways.

Jul 16, 2015 12:58 PM in response to fatfairdby K Shaffer,★HelpfulIf you are using wi-fi and have an option to use Ethernet cable for your internet connection
you should see a rise in the upload speed and reduced time, too. Depending on the ISP
some areas may have slower network speeds at different times of the day or night.
And your internet account may also have limits based on what kind of account/contract
is involved. Some have a ceiling, they may reduce your speed significantly, @ that point.
In any event...
Good luck & happy computing!

Jul 16, 2015 6:33 PM in response to fatfairdby stumbleone,There are various network speed testing utilities in the App store, freebies or cheap. Quality undoubtedly varies.
But it might be interesting to get one of those, run the test, and see what the upload numbers tell you about how long you could expect to take for your photos
