Q: Why wifi slower on iPhone 6 than anything else?

When I do a speed check on my iPhone 6 it normally shows sub-10 Mbps. I pay for 50 Mbps though my cable provider.

I thought it seemed odd since everything seemed to work pretty well, such as streaming video through Netflix, Hulu, etc. on my TV.

Sure enough I did the speed check on my iPad and I'm getting around 50 Mbps.

Yesterday I installed a fancy new router and the same thing is happening. Any idea why wifi is so slow only on my iPhone?

Hi ejm3,

The fact that your iPhone is experiencing slower speeds than your iPad is indicative of some form of interference that may be affecting the iPhone but not the iPad. This could be due to one device connecting to a 2.4 GHz network and the other connecting to a 5 GHz network, one of the two networks being affected by some source of interference.
