i have 5 airports in my home, 3 airport extreme and 2 airport express, they are all in showing good signal but i still dont get a good connection in some places in my house, even close to the router, i think they are having conflict of connections. My apartment is a square corridor around the elevator gap, so i use the airports to keep the connection going on since one side of my house is far from the others, but i guess this extended network is not working.

Placement of your AirPort base stations for an extended wireless network is critical. Please check out the following AirPort User tip for the details. Please post back your results. Be aware that the elevator gap is a potential culprit for Wi-Fi interference and that an extended network works in a wheel-like fashion. That is, the base station being extended would be the hub of this wheel and each of the extending stations would be on one of the spokes of that same wheel. You cannot daisy-chain base stations in order to extend the range.

If you still need assistance after reviewing the tip, please provide, as a minimum, some additional details on your current network configuration:

    • What are the exact models of each of your AirPort base stations.
    • Are all of them interconnected by wireless? That is do you have them all configured for an extended network?
