Coverage depends on when you bought your MBP--three years form Apple's recovered date of purchase. If you bought your MBP late in that model's life or as a refurb after that model was superseded, you may still qualify. Print out the article and take it with the computer to an Apple retail store or Authorized Service Provider.
If yours doesn't qualify and you are in the US, inquire in the Apple Store about a "depot repair." Instead of fixing the computer in the Store (and charging you from US$700-1000 for a new logic board, they send the computer to a central refurb faculty where, for a flat fee, they repair or replace anything they find wrong (excluding cosmetic damage). People in these forums who have taken advantage of the depot repair are very happy with the results.
The last I heard, a depot repair on an MBP is about US$315, plus applicable taxes and shipping.
