Q: Why is the lock on for podcast subscriptions?

I have several podcasts that I had subscribed to. Since I downloaded the latest update, I am no longer subscribed to them. I can't slide the button to yes, as there is a lock symbol on it. I did not change anything. How do I fix this?

iPod nano, Windows 7

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!

I understand that you are trying to subscribe to podcasts in iTunes on your Windows computer, but there is a lock in the field and you cannot move the slider to the On position. This can happen if the Parental Control Preferences in iTunes has Podcasts disabled. Please check this setting using the information in the attached article below.
