Q: Went swimming with iPhone 5S, it was shut off by the time I got out, any chance of saving it?
I had it in a container of instant rice for 24hr after it happened, and had it by a blowdryer (not too close) for about an hour and have been air drying it since. Every time that I google a situation about saving a wet iPhone it involves the phone being dropped in the toilet or something similar and immediately being shut off. But I have yet to find a situation where the phone shuts off while underwater.
Am I SOL? Or is there any hope.
iPhone 5s, iOS 8.4

You have fried it
Water is the best conductor of electricity there is ,as soon as it became wet, current went everywhere shorting and destroying the circuits
Apple will allow water damaged iPhones to be replaced under the Out of Warranty programme take it to an apple store Genius bar along with a credit card
The US price is $269 + tax ,similar prices in other currencies
