Q: Can't get ringtones from my ringtone ap onto my phone!

I have to say, I used to have a Droid and it was NEVER this difficult to get ringtones on my phone!! I find it ridiculous that I've spent 3 hours on this topic and still haven't been able to get my ringtones from my ringtone ap onto my phone!

iPhone 6, iOS 8.4

What ringtone app are you using, and did you come here to talk about the Droid, or did you come to ask fellow users for assistance to get the ringtone on your iPhone?

No I didn't come to talk about my old Droid. I'm just venting my frustration. There are certain applications that I like much better with my iPhone and better with the Droid. The ringtone ap is an iPhone ap just called ringtones. It gives detailed instructions but when I try to sync as it instructs, even though I've only chosen the certain ringtones, it tries to sync ALL the music on my laptop.

If you are trying to sync the ringtones via iTunes, then you need to ensure that you do not have music set to sync via iTunes. That would be the only way that it would sync music. Ringtones and Music are two separate systems in iTunes and on the phone. Have you used iTunes to sync music to your phone in the past, or did you attempt to manually manage music? Did you check the settings in iTunes for syncing music and if you did not want to sync music, did you turn that off?
