Q: Itunes media Folder
HI, I need help.
I saved my itunes media folder on a external device a couple of months ago before getting rid of
my macbook pro early 2011. I then bought a macbook Pro retina 13".
I'm now trying to read all my music again on my new MacBook, so I copied the folder in the music folder, where the Itunes one is, and I've been pointing ITunes to that folder, but no luck, the music doesn't load in iTunes.
Any idea why this is happening? Could it be that since I saved the music folder, iTunes had maybe a couple of updates and now it can't read the library file anymore?
Thanks in advance!
Roberta

The iTunes Media folder doesn't contain the iTunes database files; for that, you need a copy of the entire iTunes library. If you don't have that, drag the media folder to the Automatically Add to iTunes folder or the library in the open iTunes application window.
