The Photos.app is installed as part of MacOS X.  You cannot download it separately.  To get Photos, update to MacOS X 10.3 Yosemite or later. It is only available as part of the most recent MacOS X release.

    Thanks for your reply.

I have OS X Yosemite 10.10 in a new Mac Mini bought one month ago.

It has the iPhoto app, but I just discovered it does not have the Photos app.

    What to do?

    Thanks.

have you updated the MacMini recently to MacOS X 10.10.3 or later? The early version of MacOS X 10 do not yet support Photos. It only comes with 10.10.3 or later.

Launch the AppStore and run software update if you have an earlier version of Yosemite.

If you have the current MacOS X 10.10.4 reinstall MacOS X by booting into recovery.  Don't uninstall iPhoto, you may need it to fix any issues with your photo libraries.
