Q: apple watch "Screen Always on Mode"

Perhaps you should try reading the Apple Support Communities Terms of Use.

If the watch screen was on all the time you would need to recharge it about every 4 to 6 hours. Doesn't sound practical, does it?

I did a test on this and estimated that if you keep the screen constantly on then a 100% charge would last only 3 hours and 40 minutes !

However quite a few suggestions have  been aired here, and hopefully the o.p. will indeed progress them in the official way. 

It will be interesting to learn about changes incorporated into Watch OS2 when this info becomes available.

Motorola, LG, and Samsung have all figured out how to have "always on" and last all day.
