Tweaks have not been tweaked. Still missing the multiple playlist windows and in grid mode refuses to list videos alphabetically by title -

    This is incorrect.

    iTunes 10.7 runs on Mavericks.

But no syncing of contacts & calendars, bookmarks, email accts.

What Apple did with iTunes (and some other apps) is unforgivable.

And no support for iOS 7 etc.

iTunes 11 is literally worse in every way than iTunes 10.7. Personally, it's iTunes DJ I miss most, although the search is much much slower and offers me unwanted options every time - I just want it to show me all results like it used to. It's even worse in terms of showing you which Airplay speakers are being used. There's precisely nothing I want in it.

But I can't take my new iPhone back to iOS 6, so I'm stuck with it.

Thanks Chris, I didn't know Mavericks *could* run iTunes 10.7.          I'm running iTunes 11.x on an old MacBook for the purpose of syncing my iPhone.        Just copy my library from my main Mac onto an external hard drive, then open that library on iTunes 11.     After it updates, I can sync my phone.

I'm familar enough with iTunes11 to remain angry at how obtuse Apple is by taking features away for no apparent reason.      All I want are multiple windows, and artwork on selected tracks that aren't playing to be viewable in the sidebar.      iTunes 11 DOES now allow you to see artwork of non playing songs - but it shows you EVERY song so the list it too spread out to be practical.

I'm also partial to iTunes DJ.   "Up next" is very cumbersome, easy to accidentally blow away your list of songs.

I'll be on iTunes 10.x until Apple sees fit to restore those two simple features.

I tried and tried and tried to get used to the new, unusually unorganized interface.  I just can't stand it!  I've reverted back to using the side bar.  What was that meeting like?  "Hey let's just scatter all the buttons that used to be together across the top in no meaningful relationship whatsoever, maybe people will like that." .... FIRED.

This statement about the OP should have read reviews before downloading is ridiculous. It's all good and well reading what has been written but people want to try it and form their own opinions, not regurgitate the opinions of others.

I just want to echo most of the thoughts on here; i is awful and the same can be said of most iTunes versions since 6. I simply can't continue to work with this application so it is probably time to change phones.

You would think that since nobody has anything good to say about the update (other than Apple) they would listen to their customers.  They don't even read their own Support Forum Comments.  Between Apple not caring about their customers and MS Windows 8 debacle, I'm migrating to more user friendly systems.

Thanks you for the help with reverting to something useful.  This is only a temporary fix until I replace my Apple devices.....I have 8 devices that I'll will not upgrade.

If anyone hates the iTunes update because it organized songs by ARTIST rather than by SONGS, which doesn't allow you to shuffle all songs...I finally figured it out. when you open you music, at the top it lists "ARTISTS" in red. I almost missed the tiny drop down arrow to the right of it, but if you touch it, it pulls up "SONGS", which puts music back in alphabetical order by artist. I use my old iPhone as my music player in the car so...this was really annoying me since there are plenty of artists that have only one song on my music list.
