Q: can i get my pictures back after a factory reset

my ipod is messed up and the only way to fix it is to reset it but i have too many pictures that i dont want to loose. if i reset it will the pictures be restored like the contacts and calenders?

iPod touch, its atleast ios 8.1 im not sure tho

If you used iCloud Contacts and Calendars then if y use the same iCloud ID those will be restored..
Photos in the Camera Roll album will be restored if you restore from backup that hose those photos

i didnt back them up,i saw some vids and posts that said they would be restored but didnt mention anything about backing them up.

Thay are only restored if you backed them up and then restore from backup.
If you previously turned on PhotoStream in Settings>iCloud and use the same iCloud ID, the last 30 days of PhotoStream photos should be restored
