You should also try holding the sleep/wake and home button until the apple logo appears and then try to unlock again. you will also have to double tap each of the numbers of your password with VoiceOver on.

Aug 1, 2015 7:43 PM in response to AJ397by rob185,I Tried all that with Apple support on the phone and screen share on my laptop. I now have an appointment at the Apple Store. was just hoping someone may have had this issue and was able to fix it.

- Connect your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch to any computer with iTunes installed.
- In iTunes, select your device.
- From the Summary pane, click > Configure Universal Access in the Options section at the bottom.
- Select the feature you would like to use and click OK.

- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try another cable
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.
