Q: My iphone 5c screen is black and I need to restore the phone. I cannot restore the phone since it is locked. I cannot unlock the phone because of the original issue of the screen being dark. I can still hear incoming texts and emails. Help!

this does not appear to involve iPhoto for the Mac where you posted - I will request that your post be moved to the iPhone forum

Have you tried resetting the device: Hold down the Home and Power buttons at the same time and continue to hold them down until the Apple appears (up to 30 seconds). If you see the Apple, then the reset is working and the Slide to Unlock screen will display shortly.

If the reset doesn't work, then you will probably need to make a visit to the local Apple Store.

    Cheers,
