Q: Epson Printer Not Working Over WIFI

I have an Epson XP-400 printer and am having trouble getting anything to print over the Wifi connection (I've already contacted Epson and they're saying it's probably an issue with OS X). The printer queue keeps telling me "The printer is not connected". I've gone through the whole wifi setup, and have gotten it to print in the past just fine, but whenever the printer goes to sleep, it ceases to wake up when I tell it to print. I have to manually go upstairs and hit the power button. But even then, it takes another minute or two to finally decide to print the thing. It's a huge pain in the butt...

Is this an issue with how my settings are configured inside OS X?

MacBook Air, Mac OS X (10.7.2)

This worked for me and it seems to solve the problem each and every time this happens to me, regardless of the make or model of printer I'm using ( I've used many). The router seems to get choked up with data and by resetting the actual router itself and clearing some unneeded data, the printer will find it's way back into the network after being strangely "lost in the clouds", so to speak. Hope this answers most questions revolving around Wifi connect problems and printers!

    My Solution

After restarting a Mac, there's this strange popup:

         "EEventManager.app"

Well I always clicked Deny to be cautious; not knowing what this really is. Well it's actually part of the Epson printer driver! See here:

    EEventManager.app

After I began Allowing this connection, my printer has been working normal. I can printer while it's sleeping, and never have been to before.

Let me know if this works for you

Try going into your printer setup and finding Wifi setup and re-enter your password. It will rescan for the wifi setup. Sometimes after a few updates from the cable company, it causes glitches. AfterI re-entered mine it went back to recognizing my mac. Also, updates from apple can do the same thing. But this fixed my connection and mac recognized it as well as the wifi gateway.

Thank you! I can't believe I never thought to reboot the router, but this solved my problem.
