Q: Printing from my iPad Air 2

I have a Canon IO4600 series printer, which I don't think is AirPrint enabled, connected to my airport extreme. Here are the details of the Airport Extreme.

Serial No 6F8022UXYEX, Version 7.6.4

My iPad works fine through this for internet connections etc, but it doesn't recognise the printer

This setup works fine with my iMac, and PCs.

If I download Airport Utility for iOS to my iPad will that allow me to print from my iPad?

Numbers, OS X Mavericks (10.9)

Canon IO4600 does not appear on the list of AirPrint compatible printers linked below for your reference.

About AirPrint - Apple Support

Since the IO4600 is not AirPrint compatible, downloading AirPort Utility for the iPad will not do anything to help the situation.

What might work is 3rd party software......like Printopia. There is a free trial, so you will know in a matter of minutes whether Printopia will allow your iPad to print to the Canon printer. More info here:
