Q: Yosemite and Wifi - the drama continues
This is what I entered four days ago:
I downloaded Yosemite yesterday - kicking and screaming. When my iPhoto albums would no longer appear on my iPhone I bit the bullet. Now I'm paying the piper. Slow internet, zero HTML, zero videos, zero images. I spent the better part of a day walking through the various solutions offered, getting all excited and then…nada.
This is what I wrote today:
This is so discouraging. Safari won't open because of secure connections. After a dozen restarts it connects. Youtube still struggles with videos. Images take forever (or never!) to appear. One minute, lightning speed, next literal minute, dial up. Many insightful helps yet none have worked. I have now lost almost three days work trying to fix this. Now I go to an Apple Store, give them my laptop for three days, and pay a nice chunk of change so that I can enjoy the wonderful upgrade of Yosemite.
What I have heard is that "95% of Yosemite users now have no problems." I have the feeling there is a very simple problem/bug that is keeping me from having this nightmare. Laptop goes in Monday or Tuesday. I am seriously considering going back to Mavericks.

Do a backup, preferably 2 separate ones on 2 separate drives.
Revert to a Previous OS X - Yosemite
Revert to former OS from Mavericks
If you do revert, I'd use Setup Assistant to restore your data. This process takes a while, so do it when you won't need the computer for several hours, based on my experience.
